Practice area Details

The practice areas set out below reflect the office’s principal areas of focus and do not constitute an exhaustive definition of the matters we handle. Each situation is considered on its own merits, and we remain available for matters falling outside those expressly listed.

Intellectual Property

The firm advises on intellectual property matters across both of its main branches. In the field of industrial property, it assists clients with filing, registration, and protection procedures for trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and domain names, with structuring license and assignment arrangements, and with managing disputes involving counterfeiting and unfair competition before the competent courts.

In the field of literary and artistic property, the firm advises authors, performing artists, and rights holders on the protection of their works, the scope of their economic and moral rights, and the conditions under which those rights may be exploited or transferred. It assists them in their dealings with the BMDAV, in the review of contracts, and intervenes in disputes arising from infringements of copyright and neighboring rights.

This is a field the firm approaches with particular interest, at the intersection of business law, creativity, and innovation. Its international dimension is increasingly significant, particularly given the conventions to which Morocco is a party and the challenges to protecting rights across borders.
